This is also about astrology and it is about observation and the power of your Sun-Sign.
Mine is Gemini and the sun entered Gemini a few days ago. I have quite some years of such observation and I can truly say for me, that whenever the sun goes through my Sun-Sign, I have super powers. My energy level is really high and I am full of enthusiasm to do the things that I want to do. Usually, this is also a time when my efforts to fulfill my desires are most effective. While we all go through Gemini right now and I am aware that I might not be the only one that feels enthusiastic right now, for me it is a very special time. So, I am looking forward what this next month brings and I have a lot of room to invite new information and knowledge into my life.
While deducting a person’s character by the zodiac in which the sun was, when he/she was born, is extremely limiting, the influence of the sun and its relation to the other planets in the chart is of great importance. Where the sun is and how it relates within the chart speaks of how and what we want to achieve in our lives.
On a mystical, mythical level, the sun also represents our relation to the universe and was/is worshipped in many cultures. From Jorge Luis Delgado, I learned the sun practices and in yoga I practice the sun salutation, to name just a few.
Sun salutations are not just a way to stretch your body, but to relate to our fixed star, let the sun into your heart and send back the sun rays from your heart. Saluting the sun with your inner sun is an ancient practice around Titicaca lake, long before the Inka people united there. It is said that a huge sun disk was buried in Titicaca lake to protect it from the invaders. So far, it was not found and I guess many tried.
In South America there was a lot of gold, which used to represent the sun. The Sun temples are the finest constructions and some survived the invaders, who first destroyed the old traditions and installed their religion.
On a physical level, the order of our sun system blows my mind, even if I do not go beyond that, into the universe. Imagine this immersive perpetuum around us and that huge ball of fire in the middle. We are also time-wise in the middle. As experts say, our system is several million years old and will exist several million years before it will implode and leave a black hole behind. So much about saving our planet. Let us worry about mankind, the planet will survive us for sure.
I do no worship the sun more than all creation, but its influence on our daily lives is obvious and so it is on our state of mind and our wellbeing. Just imagine your state of mind when you wake up and the sun shines, does not matter the temperature, just the light heightens our emotional state.
In astrology, there is a way to look at your sun return every year and read what you will want to achieve in the coming year until your next sun return. For any chart, the location has a great influence. Even people who are born at the same moment anywhere on earth, the chart will be different due to the location. The constellations are the same, but where you live through the constellation differs.
Two years ago, I travelled to Spain for my sun return and last year it so happened that I was in Ollantaytambo, Peru, this year I will be at home in Bucharest.
We also live our sun in the so-called progression, one year represents one day, another way of looking at your overall relation to your intentions, achievements and awareness. For example, my progressed sun sign will move from Leo into Virgo in 2 years. In a very subtle way, I feel this change coming. Such change does not happen suddenly, but it is a huge one, i.e. what was my undercurrent for actions for 30 years, will change its traits and especially its stage.
